How the Monthly Booking Limit Works

Last updated 1 November 2026

The Free plan includes 100 new bookings each calendar month. This page explains how they are counted and what happens at the limit. Bookingly Pro has no limit.

What counts

  • A booking counts in the month it is created.
  • A cancelled booking stops counting.
  • Editing or moving a booking doesn't count it again.
  • Each occurrence of a recurring booking counts in the month it falls in. A weekly booking doesn't use up a whole year of allowance at once.
  • For sports and facilities businesses, booking several courts or times together in one booking counts once.

The count starts again at the beginning of each calendar month (UTC).

Keeping an eye on it

The Billing page and a banner at the top of the app show how many bookings you have used. The business owner is emailed once when you reach 80% of the limit and once when you reach it.

What happens at the limit

  • Customers can't start a new booking on your booking page. They see a neutral message, and can still view, change and cancel the bookings they already have.
  • Staff who try to add a booking see a message about upgrading.
  • Nothing already booked is affected.

Upgrading to Bookingly Free and Pro Plans lifts the limit straight away.

Good to know

If two customers book at exactly the same moment, both can get the last place, so the limit may be passed by a booking or two.
