Use Closed dates when a location will be shut for one or more whole days, such as a holiday or a refurbishment. Customers can't book online on those days.
Add a closed date
- Open More > Setup > Closed dates.
- Select Add.
- Choose the Start date and End date. For a single day, use the same date for both.
- Enter a Description, for example "Staff training".
- Under Locations, choose the locations that are closed. Use Select all to close every location.
- Select Save.
If any existing bookings fall on the dates you chose, a notice lists them. You can still save the closed date, but those bookings are not cancelled for you, so contact the customers and move or cancel them from the calendar. See Cancel a Booking and Refund the Customer.
Edit or delete a closed date
Select a closed date in the list to change it, or use the bin button inside it to delete it. Customers can book those days again once it is deleted.
Public holidays
Under Public holidays, each location has a switch to close automatically on public holidays.
- The holidays are based on the location's country, set in the location's address.
- The list covers the next year and updates itself, so new holidays are added as they come into range.
- Turn off an individual holiday if you want to stay open that day.
- If a holiday is also covered by one of your own closed dates, the list tells you.
- If a location has no country, or the country isn't recognised, you will see a message and the switch can't be used. Set the country on the location first.
You need permission to manage closed dates to change these settings.
