Bookingly supports two types of locations: Physical and Virtual. Each has distinct characteristics:
Physical Locations
Use Physical locations for services performed at a specific business site, such as a salon, spa, or hairdresser. All booking times are displayed in the location's timezone, which cannot be changed by the customer.
Virtual Locations
Virtual locations are for services that don’t require a physical presence, such as video consultations or phone sessions. When a client books a virtual service, Bookingly attempts to detect their timezone automatically, with the option to adjust it if needed. Booking times will be shown in the client’s timezone.
Notes:
- If you have only one location and online bookings are enabled, clients won’t need to select a location - it will be automatically pre-selected.
- Upon signup, Bookingly creates a placeholder location for demonstration purposes. Be sure to update it with your actual business location(s).
