A staff member can be booked by customers without ever logging in. To let them log in, give them a permission level. Their permission level decides what they can see and do.
Invite a staff member
- Open More > Staff > Staff members and select the person, or add a new one.
- Make sure their Email is correct. The invitation is sent there.
- Under Permissions, choose a Permission level.
- Select Save.
Bookingly emails them an invitation to set up their login.
You need the Create and edit permission roles permission (called "manage staff permissions") to see and change this section.
Invitation status
Beside the permission level, you can see where the invitation is up to:
- Invitation pending: they haven't accepted yet.
- Invitation expired: the invitation ran out before they used it.
- Accepted: shown with a tick, they are set up.
For pending and expired invitations, select Resend e-mail to send a fresh invitation. A message confirms the invitation was resent.
Give no access
If you leave the permission level empty, the person can't log in and can't see any bookings or account information. This suits team members who only need to appear on the booking page.
The owner
The business owner has the highest level of permission, with full access to everything. The owner's level can't be changed or removed.
Change or remove access
Change someone's permission level and save to change what they can do next time they use Bookingly. Removing their level removes their ability to log in. To control exactly what each level can do, see Create and Edit Permission Roles.
What if a staff member can't see something?
Menu items and settings only appear for people who have the matching permission. If someone says a page is missing, check their permission level. See Welcome to Bookingly.
